Mother's Day

One of the (very few) things I love about holidays is getting cards from the kids. This year was no exception. My plans for a full day of contemplating my (navel) life didn't quite pan out because there was lawn work to be done, music to be listened to, and you know... I kinda bore myself. But, I did get the requisite sweet things from the kids extolling my french toast making virtues, comparing having a mom like me to the joy a mole feels when it "totters" (?!), and another one that spells out all the great things about me (no doubt the first step in some kind of extortion attempt). Observe:

So, what I learned from this exercise:

  • I might want to point R to some reference materials regarding the relative value of various mined resources
  • Pears are a monkey favorite
  • Much like the moon, I am big and round and warm and white (true that, son)
  • A wants a turtle (right friggin' now... or else)
  • Make more french toast
  • Sucking up can now be added to the list of (the soon-to-be 13 child of mine) C's many talents
You can bet that A had french toast for breakfast on Sunday!

Totter on, blog readers, totter on.
