Toy Story, 38, and friggin' sawfly larvae!

Thank you for the happy birthday wishes - I'm remarkably OK with being 38. Aging sure beats the alternative. My day started with the realization that an army of sawfly larvae hellbent on world (or at least garden) domination had completely defoliated most of my roses. So, I pruned away all of the damaged areas (about 80%) and dusted the rest with some low-toxicity rose dust. I was bummed to see my roses go but they should re-grow just fine. Toy Story 3 was great. I made the mistake of going to see it in 3-D (I know... I've got to get over that) and ended up with a massive headache. K couldn't fully enjoy the movie because he said he felt "emotionally manipulated" - I'm pretty sure that's 'man-speak' for "stupid talking toys made me get a lump in my throat and homie don't play that."
