Inexplicable lusty feelings...

I'm having confusing feelings about this:

It's a Ford Transit Connect XLT Wagon. I've always loved the Honda Element but it only seats 4 and we're a family of 5. This Ford seats 5, will transport C's marimba without dismantling it, has rubber flooring throughout and is as cute as a (weird looking) button. Guess what? It's pretty reasonably priced and it gets darn good mileage, too.

Luckily, I'm not in the (immediate) market for a new car so there's still hope that I'll process my feelings and save myself from making a commitment to this particular Mr. Wrong.

No, it's not the kind of car you're going to see James Bond getting into but hey, I'm not the kind of girl you'd see James Bond...

Well, you get the idea.

  1. It is cute isn't it? You know, in a nerdy sort of way... I've thought of it as well but then I see the local dry cleaner drive by in one and the thought passes.

I'm gonna say let it pass... You may regret it once it's sitting in your driveway and your friend from far away keeps emailing jokes about it...

  2. Good advice. You do understand why I'm attracted to "cute in a nerdy sort of way" don't you? Luckily, a new car is far from number one on the list so there should be plenty of time for me to get over my crush.

  4. Think of all the bikes you could fit in the back of that thing!

  5. Oh great, Craig - that kind of talk is going to take my reasonably-priced vehicle purchase and turn it into a bicycle shopping spree that could have afforded me the Lexus!

    :)

  6. That's true. Who wants to put old bikes in a new car? :-P

No wonder the hubby misses you!
