At long last, C's marimba arrived last night. Her terrific teacher, Staci, came over to help get it set up correctly and watch C's face light up. There will be no problem getting her to practice now -- but getting her to STOP playing so the younger kids can get to bed may be challenging. I am happy to see her so happy and incredibly relieved not to have to listen to those god-awful practice bells anymore. They are a truly ear-splitting assault on the senses - I think I might craigslist them along with her practice pad. You know, I love to share the joy with other parents!Have you ever heard "Clocks" or "School Spirit" or "Carnival of Venice" played on marimba? Well, neener neener neener... I have!
