I know... generally talking about the weather indicates a complete lack of something to talk about. In this case, we've been so socked in by the mud left by our pipe replacement and the weather that followed that weather has featured pretty prominently in K and my conversations. That's why we're more than a little excited about the 59 m.p.h. forecast for Tuesday. That, along the coming warm weather should dry things up and give us a chance to get that patio poured.
I'd like to say that I'll have something else to talk about the next time I write but I make no promises. I have a pretty work-heavy week this week and I'm really really trying to be committed to my diet -- something often accompanied by grumpiness... my apologies in advance.
I took A and R and 3 of their friends to see How to Train Your Dragon on Friday night. The story and animation were fantastic - I really, really enjoyed it but in this case, I found the 3-D really distracting and not all that impressive. I may have been in the wrong kind of mood for 3-D or I might have been nursing some financial wounds from the $18 extra I had to pay for the privilege of wearing the special glasses - either way, go see it but don't feel overly bad if you miss it in 3-D. I also highly recommend Cressida Cowell's books on which the movie was based. R has been reading for 60-90 minutes a night ever since he got the first one.
I love talking about the weather and I really love when you talk about the weather. I tend to forget those winds! Man those are awesome winds.
ReplyDeleteI despise 3D. It makes me nauseous.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks 3-D is overrated. I've heard Avatar's 3-D was worth the headache but otherwise I'm not terribly impressed.
