Bonus days

Now that I'm not going in to an office for work, the weekends and weekdays tend to blur a little bit. Three-day weekends can easily go unnoticed. This weekend, I really enjoyed an extra day of 2 parents vs. 3 kids, a nice dinner with my parents (props to my mama - she's the salad queen), lots of little tasks crossed off the list, and some slacker time, too.

Clean house.

Rosebuds

Scooby Doo brings people together.

This is the playroom when it's clean. Don't judge.

  1. Of course your playrooom is clean--you can't take all of those lego creations apart, are you crazy? Is that a carpet covered structure in the playroom? Did you make it? My boys would love something like that.

  2. I knew you would understand the lego museum! Yes, it is a carpet-covered structure. It is based on one in the local library - affectionately known around here as "the library blocks". It is made up of several 45-45-90 right triangles made of plywood and covered in carpet and bolted together. Theoretically they can be rearranged but we've never done it. K's parents built it for the kids (along with the stage and the climbing wall).

    Maybe I should do a how-to post...

  3. "The library blocks" from the Old Library? They also make a good seating area when there's a play performed on the stage!

And me, I'm going to copy that picture board in the kitchen... oh yes, yes I am!

  4. Copy away! They aren't the actual blocks from the library but that was the inspiration. I love my photo board! I used tiny little silver pins to hang everything up - they hurt like mad but the result is awesome.
