R's had a great birthday (his party will be Friday - that's the downside to having a b-day on a holiday) but right now he's got a hefty case of the end-of-birthday letdown. I'm not too worried. He's had all of his favorite foods (including a peanut butter pie from Rainbow that I had to pick up in an alleyway this morning since they decided to close the restaurant today - even though I made sure to ask when I placed the order). He went mountain biking. He went to the driving range. He used his savings+birthday money to buy a Nook at Barnes and Noble. Grandma and Grandpa just got here to eat dinner with us. Later, I hear the whole town in congregating to watch the fireworks (in R's honor, of course!).
It's good to be the R.
Happy Birthday Mr.R! We celebrated with margs and fireworks too. How great is it to have grandma and grandpa there this year?! (yes, I know they are usually there but this year they just live down the street)...
ReplyDeleteHugs and kisses from the midwest!
Thanks!
