When Deadlines Attack!

A peek into what is going on in my mind (and house) this week... there's a big national meeting in my field starting Monday. I am contributing to a paper that is being presented. My collaborator has an unnatural love for the 11th hour. I can't say I haven't flirted (OK, fine, we're in a long-term committed relationship but I swear I'm dumping his ass right after I finish this Powerpoint...) with Mr. Last Minute a time or twenty myself. Live and learn (and then get Luvs?).

Let me take a minute to apologize to my family. Actually, I take that back... the kids are off enjoying various combinations of golf, swimming, climbing, and nacho-munching. K rode his bike to work and will certainly take the long way home since it's beginning to cool down. My apologies to me.
