It premiered last night. I watched (of course) but I just wasn't 100% into it. Perhaps it's because Mr. K got a smart phone through work and it has Angry Birds on it and if you know anything of my obsession with that (now banned by me) classic, Bubblefish Bob, I've got a problem. Luckily, the phone is with Mr. K during the day and it has pretty pathetic battery life so there's hope that I won't become a bird-slingshotting, pig-murdering zombie.
I still like watching chain-smoking, felony-committing men catch crab though, so maybe my vegetarianism is just a cover for some kind of strange bloodlust.
In other news:
We're getting a sprinkler system. I don't know what I'll do all summer when I'm not moving hoses.
I'm having a great time with my kids lately. I don't know what changed (meds, anyone? sunshine, perhaps?) but they're just cracking me up. I also can't believe what a 'young man' R is becoming. I'm not quite ready for him to be a responsible, upstanding member of society (luckily, he's still a teeny tiny just born baby at bedtime and right after he gets up in the morning).
Tomorrow is Poetry Cafe at C's school. She wrote a doozy this time. I might post it later this week.
This morning, amidst the rush of dropoffs (made more complicated by a car in the shop), I bought Cinni-minis at Burger King. The kids couldn't finish them because "that kind of food is a tummy ache in a paper sack" - A speaks the truth.
I'm sitting here in my jammies hoping the dryer will finish up quick because A has an orthodontist appointment at 11:2o and my very limited supply of pants that fit is in said dryer. Could wearing wet yoga pants to the orthodontist be that "rock bottom" my decidedly un-rock-like bottom needs to get in gear?
Remains to be seen.
