When did that happen??

Yesterday, in celebration of her birthday, my daughter, C, spent the day with girlfriends eating Japanese food, getting manicures, playing at the park, and having an epic battle on wii gymnastics. My question is, when did this unfortunately-dressed darling:

turn into this lovely 11-year-old?

I could go full-on "sunrise, sunset" on you but instead I will simply say that watching her grow up, begin to fulfill her dreams, and navigate the realities of greater independence (be they good or bad) has been my greatest adventure. C has had a bit more parental "breaking in" to do than her younger brother and sister... K and I appreciate her patience with us... we can be a little slow on the uptake at times.

Sigh...
