A few hours ago I left the side of a friend who is faced with the terrible reality that her daughter, who was involved in a car-bike accident this morning, will not recover. I found I had none of the right words for her, just hugs. I tried to imagine myself in her position, and I could not. I think the human brain is wired to prevent us from completing those thoughts. I'm thankful for that.
Many, many people will do what we can to support this family. I can't imagine what would ever be enough.
I'm so sorry that she and you, had to go through this terrible thing. Even the thought of it makes me cry. You're a good friend to be there for her.
