I forgot to mention yesterday, in the excitement of the arrival of the piano, that K and I started dating 20 years ago on Dec. 3rd. I've spent 53.4% of my life with him. It's been 87.48% great and 12.52% honest hard work. I have a feeling his percentages might skew a little more towards "work" but that's okay, I kind of feel like it's a woman's responsibility to keep the man in her life from getting soft.
We celebrated by helping the kids with their homework, ignoring the dishes, and falling asleep by 9:30 (OK, I might have been asleep by 8:30 but I won't confirm it). In other words, we partied like rockstars (with kids).
PPS (or as we all said when we were in grade school, PSS): Do you ever feel like this? Should I be alarmed that I seem to share so many thoughts with a 73-year-old man?
