Cue the music. Get the hankie. My baby boy is 8 today. 
Seriously, how cute is that mug? He didn't want a party so instead he gets to set the family agenda today. I expect legos will figure prominently in that plan, as will ice cream and french bread along with some swimming and a trip to the park.
I seem to remember there's some kind of holiday today... here, however, it's all about the Festival of R (but it's nice that everyone recognizes that his birthday is worthy of large displays of fireworks).
Enjoy your brats and burgers (but not with R's blessing - he's a staunch vegetarian), your sparklers and spangles, and your beer and bike rides.

ReplyDeleteR's way too hopped up on Legos, wii games, his brand new skateboard, and the awesome power of setting our agenda for the day to even begin to think about the fireworks. It will be nice icing on the cake, however!
