Would it be horribly strange for me to want my house to look like this? I'm completely smitten. I'm ready to go try my (unsteady) hand at the scroll saw.
Between this photo and the 11,000+ more on Flickr I think I might have found my inspiration for a taste evolution. The interior of our house will always lean towards the more modern and uncluttered (when tidy) because too much "stuff" makes me claustrophobic.
I have no aversion, however, to cute-ifying the exterior. K may complain but I have the advantage of it taking him a rather long time to notice things. Of course, I'm going to need his steady hand to help me adorn the exterior...
Scheming aside, how incredibly simple and lovely is this place?? I think I may be in love and I think the look (or elements thereof) could translate to our home as well.
Anyway, whatever your opinion, wait a day or two to rain on my parade - and imagine some flower-filled boxed under those windows...
I think the top half of the picture is very cute but the bottom half looks like my backyard right now!
ReplyDeleteI love a house that looks "lived in" - a load of wash on the line is a wonderful thing (but not as wonderful as a load of wash sorted, folded, and put away.
