I feel as though I have met some kind of parenting milestone - I have now watched the Molly Ringwald trifecta that in many ways defined my teen years with my eldest daughter.
I'll have to wait a few years to show her Dirty Dancing - partly because of the subject matter and partly because I need a few more years to earn her respect before I dash it all and admit my inexplicable love of that movie. "Nobody puts Baby in a corner."
They just don't write stuff like that anymore.
I've got Pretty in Pink DVR'd! I haven't watched it yet (alright I watched it 20 years ago but I'm not sure I've seen it since). Oh, how I wish I was there to watch it with you - I could have apologized like crazy to C!
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love Molly Ringwald of the 80s? Oh, how I miss her and all her geeky friends. Now you have to watch St.Elmo's Fire and I think that will complete your 80's flashbacks. Did you break out the neon and the side ponytails????
