Last night we sprang the surprise on R - he and Daddy were leaving today to go to Legoland!! They've just left for 4 days of dudeful good times -- Legos, aircraft carriers, aquariums, wild animals, beaches!! K is excited about the mexican food, too. I'm so excited for them.
and a little jealous.
So, it's girl's weekend around here - we already got the party rolling with an A+Mommy trip to Target. It really doesn't get any girlier than that around these parts.
I can't wait to share pics of their adventure (if they remember they have a camera).
Last night, A was doing her typical "I'm hungry" before-bed routine. K had offered her a few things and she has sniped back with some snarky retort each time. Finally, K had enough and this interaction followed:
K: If you want me to make you a snack, you really ought to try being nice.
A: I can't.
K: Really, it isn't all that bad.
A: Yes it is. Being nice makes me itchy.
and there you have it. I was not previously aware that snarkiness was medically necessary for A. Parents learn something new every day.
S. just fainted when I told him the news. He's in shock. I'm not sure why? Jealousy? Envy? General despair?
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful that they're doing that together - what a great idea! And what a great dad. *sigh* Sometimes they're just so darn thoughtful!
And A. Just freakin' funny. She's one of a kind - I can hardly wait until she's my daughter in law!
I'm so happy they're off together doing "guy stuff" - if R had known about it ahead of time, I'm sure he would have insisted we include his "lego buddy" S.
ReplyDeleteA looks forward to dating (both of) your sons and making your hair turn gray. She really, really does.
