This weekend, R ran his first "for reals" race. He kept a great pace and had that flush-faced happy look I remember from my running adventures with Tracy. I'm inspired to run with him next year.The fun was topped off by winning a free swim/skate pass in the post-race raffle and getting Fazoli's breadsticks at dinner time. He's a happy boy (who clearly needs a haircut).
In other news: "Fame" was a stinker that looked far more like an extended commercial than a movie. It's too bad - I loved the original movie and show back in the day. As C put it - "I had a hard time finding a single character I liked and all the boys sang like girls."
Also, I'm excited to read through Lonny magazine today (if I dig myself out from the laundry). I miss Domino and its great photos and uber-pretentious articles. Hopefully this will help fill the void.
It's a drippy Monday here. In addition to my cleaning adventures, I plan to enjoy the contrast of brilliant green grass against turning leaves. Who knows... I might even take a picture or two!
