We're in the midst of a mini-major backyard makeover that will surely extend well into next summer. I'm especially excited about the prospect of getting a firepit to enjoy on crisp evenings. I'm loving this one but it might be a little too modern for me. I spent the day today doing a bit of writing for work, pruning the cherry tree, trying to start the weedwhacker, finally getting it started, and then working on the cross-ditch in the backyard until the weedwhacker pooped out on me (sorry, K!).
I'm dreaming big about a border of shade-tolerant foliage and a new and improved kitchen garden. I really ought to take some pictures so you can see what I'm talking about but I'm afraid the aforementioned chores have left my hands too tired to grasp the camera (dramatic much, Robin?).
I like the firepit - I think it could work depending on what else we put out there...
