Kitchen inspiration

Of course, if I'm going to begin exploring a new cuisine, I ought to re-do the kitchen, right? (Tongue firmly planted in cheek, here. I have neither the budget nor the energy to take on another major reno project.)

Enjoy:

  1. My vote is for number 3. Even though it's all white, the old-looking stove, refrigerator, and cabinets make it seem warm and inviting.

  2. I like that one, too. I also like #1 but it might be a little too "Dieter from Sprockets" for us.

  3. Having run myself into the ground on a few renovation projects, I've got to ask, when has the lack of money or energy ever been a reason to not renovate?! HAHA My only hope is that admitting I have a problem is the first step towards the path of healing.

A recent article I read put it well. "Happy spouse, happy children, fulfilling career, spotless home. Four brass rings to grab. Two hands with which to grab."

  4. So true, and quite frankly, my two hands are pretty darn occupied with just the kids. Spotless home fell off the radar years ago so at least I don't have to worry about that one....

I share your home improvement mania.

  5. I like the first one - just 'cause I like the wood counters. I love, love, love wood counters. I'd like the wood counters with the old style appliances but not in white - I like the red in the second picture. Yah, that would be nice.

Renovations are great. I have to replace the carpets in the fireplace room (thank you Putty. new medication+old dog=new carpets).

  6. Oh Putty! It's a good thing you're so cute and your new mama is a sucker.

    I LOVE wood counters, too.

I love the red fridge. They cost about $2500 and are quite a bit smaller than the typical American fridge-zilla, though.

  7. But, you can choose the modern fridge of your choice and choose a paint color at a local car-painting establishment and make a deal with them to call you up next time they'll be painting a car in your preferred color. If you can get your fridge down there in time, they can make a few bucks off of you without having to clean the booth and sprayer and you will have a custom fridge.
