I can't be sure it's swine flu but I've got one wiped out 11-year-old on my hands and reports from the school indicate that the middle schoolers are dropping like flies. The school administration went so far as to send home a note saying that kids will be sent home if they have any symptoms remotely resembling flu. Therefore, my nighttime, sniffling, sneezing, coughing, aching, stuffy-head, fever, kid is staying home so she can rest (TM).
Of course that means that in order to be a good and caring mother, I, too, will need to lounge around, listen to music, read, and watch teen girl movies (which is, of course, a BIG sacrifice for me).
